“Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with victory.”

Cotillion: Social Dance

Cotillion (KUH-TIL-YUHN) is a social dance made popular in 18th-century Europe and America, but alive and well here in the South. Cotillion classes are a mainstay of the Southern lifestyle, often focus on mixing dance with lessons in etiquette and manners. However, we will be focusing on dance and fun. Over a period of 9 weeks participants will learn 6 different dance styles culminating with a cotillion dance where participants can show-off all they have learned.

Week 3: Foxtrot

Week 4: Review Weeks 1-3

Week 5: Waltz: Viennese and American Styles

Week 6: Two-Step

Week 7: Salsa

Week 8:  Review Weeks 5-7

Week 9: Cotillion Dance (This class will be 2 ½ hours, giving participants plenty of time to show-off their new-learned dance skills.)
