Christina Jensen
Christina Jensen began her life-long love affair with the arts when she first appeared on stage as Mouse/Guest in a production of The Nutcracker. As Christina grew up, she was always involved in some musical production either at church or at school. She continued pursuing her passion for the arts at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. There she earned two BA’s; one in Music and one in Arts Criticism (a major she created emphasizing Art in all of its forms: dance, theater, visual art, language, and history). From there she went on to the American Repertory Theater/MXAT Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. After two years of studying under world-renown directors and teachers, she earned her MFA in Dramaturgy. For the past seven years, she’s been engaged as a Stage Director throughout Southern California, teaching and working with local opera companies. Her credits include: The Tempest, As You Like It, The Secret Garden, L’Elisir D’Amore, Die Fledermaus, The Gipsy Princess, Eugene Onegin, Carmen, Gianni Schicchi, Faust, HMS Pinafore, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Così Fan Tutte, and Pygmalion. She taught Drama and Dance at Valley Preparatory School (grades 1-8) until she moved to Charlotte, NC in 2019.
